On November 30th 2012 We said our
last good byes to Max at age 15. He
touched our hearts in so many ways
that words can't describe them. He
of course was the great Champion in
the ring but most of all he was my
boy and companion. He was simply the
best dog anyone could have asked
for. Anji and I are indeed thankful
for all the years we were blessed to
have him and will miss him greatly.
We will always love our Doodles the
Poodle, his goofy nick name we
called him. So old boy one more
time: All the right moves, take no
prisoners Purple and Gold looks
mighty good against your soul
now lock and load and lets go show.
Those were the words I told him each
and every time before we set foot in
the ring. Rest in peace Max we love
you.Max joined our family in 1997. As soon as we picked him up Tommy and Max bonded and what a bond they share. Max soon let it be known he was going to excel in anything you asked of him. Max is a True competitor, his accomplishments in the show ring started by going Best of Breed from the classes to finish his AKC championship. Max has proven his ability to compete and win in the Best of Breed and Group ring. Since 1999 he has been one of the south's top winning Belgian Tervuren with over 26 Group
placements and over 100 Best of Breeds wins.
As a nationally ranked competitor he is a two time AKC Eukanuba Invitational
invitee receiving the American Kennel Club's Award of Merit (AOM) for breed
excellence. He is the ABTC sponsored
Southeastern Belgian Tervuren
Club's Best in Show Specialty
(BISS) winner and the Sunshine Belgian
Tervuren Club's Best Opposite Sex Specialty (BOSS) winner.
The first time out as a veteran he won Veteran Sweeps Best in
Specialty Show (VS/BISS) at the
Southeastern Belgian Tervuren
Club. He has now added a second Best Veteran
in Sweeps (VS/BISS) from the Lone
Star Belgian Tervuren specialty in
TX. Max has also earned his obedience CD title
and RN Title (at age 10) in 3 shows holds and
holds a CGC and HIC (Herding Instinct)
title. Max is the sire of our Pick Up Line, Football Lingo
and The Beach Litters (Via 17yr
Frozen Semen), See Max’s kids on the litter page.
He was always owner handled.
Nations Top 20 all breed Belgian Tervuren Dogs 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003,
2004, 2005 & 2006.
